U Brands Wire Tape Dispenser
The Wire Tape Dispenser reinterprets a standard desktop tool through a minimal wire-based construction paired with a clear acrylic rod. The form reduces the object to its essential structure, exposing the roll while maintaining stability through a simple linear frame.
The use of bent metal wire emerged from early material constraints and fabrication capabilities, leading to a construction approach focused on low tooling and efficient production methods. The acrylic core supports the tape roll while keeping the visual language open and lightweight.
The design extends a wire-based system of desktop objects, exploring utility through reduced material and exposed structure.
